Today, the lazy lions woke up at 12:00pm; we switched on some music and taught it was a really nice day just to waste it inside! So, we went down stirs and had lunch, and then Kim, spent a whole hour just doing her make up :), and while Kim was preparing, Glenn read the newspapers and spent some time on the computer. Then we where all dressed up (all meaning to Glenn’s mom also, because she came with us.) and we went out. We went all the way up to Mellieha and all the way down to Marsaxlokk!! We stopped at Marsaxlokk and had a look at the market. Kim had a nice and BIG ice cream with four flavored scoops which included: Fresh strawberry, nocciola, Malibu with coconut and cookies, mmmm yummmieeee!! And she also saw this cute little bunny and wanted to adopt it! While Glenn had an almond cake and a soft drink. Then, we went to Glenn’s grandma nanna Winnie :)…In fact, we just arrived from nanna’s! Anyway, it was a really nice day to us, and hope it was the same just for you!

A Sunday struggle...
Yesterday, we decided to stay at home, so that we wouldn’t miss a bit of the general election 2008. As many others, we glued ourselves to the TV. First at about 12pm started the excitement, Glenn said that if one of the party’s had the absolute majority, in about an hour we would know who is going to ‘kastilja’. But it turned out to be much more of a struggle than that and it took much longer than we assumed. At a certain point TVM said that the PN won the general election, but a few minutes after, Joe Saliba, the PN general secretary said that it was all a myth and we still had to wait at least 3 hours more, because the to big party’s where to close to each other, that one could not tell who won. After Joe’s announcement us and Glenn’s mom decided to go out and have a nice hot chocolate to calm ourselves down at the MIA, because things we’re getting pretty hectic, especially for Glenn’s mom, who is a hardcore Labourite! Things chilled down a bit, we went back home and again we glued our selves to the TV. Finally at 9:15pm the results are in…The PN won the general election again!note: We want to apologize for not writing for a while!

Happy Valentines Day

It’s again the time of year when one shows how much they love a person. But wait, why do we have to wait for this time of the year to buy a card? To give a gift, to be romantic, or to show our true feelings and emotions! We think Valentines Day is a nice celebration, but we also think that one doesn’t have to wait for this particular event to show they love someone. Nowadays we think that events like these are becoming an opportunity for more commerce, does one buy love? Does love have a price? We don’t think so! So why do we have to have money to show we love someone?! A simple and clear example is an experience that Kim had yesterday; Kim: I always liked cards, birthday, Christmas, Valentines etc. I think there really cute :D, but yesterday I learned a big lesson. A person can show you how much he/she loves you not by a card or a gift, or on a special occasion such as Valentines day, he/she can show to you how much they love you all year, as I said before, I really like cards but yesterday instead of a card, from Glenn I received a poem which he wrote all by himself, the poem was four pages long in a quatrain style, it explained the journey we had together up till now. I thought it was a really sweet thing that Glenn did, the lesson was that I think it was a simple gesture that meant a lot to me, and appreciated it much more than a card, and I thought it was more romantic :), because he had to choose the words and it was more personal than a commercial card, which about thousands of people would be explained how much a person loves them in the same words.
We think Valentines Day is an important event, but its importance depends on how much one makes it important. Have a nice Valentines Day!

Stop Animal Testing: It's your choice!
Every girl/woman loves make up, right? Imagine a new foundation or mascara in the market; Kim: I my self would go straight to the shop to check it out! Tell me about a man that hates perfume? Imagine a brand new line of perfume just came out in the market; Glenn: I my self would go straight to the shop to check it out! But let’s forget a bit about our selves, and our ‘’needs’’. Let’s for a second think about the innocent animal that suffered continuously and died for your new mascara!!! Let’s for a second think about the innocent animal that suffered continuously and died for your new perfume!!! Do we really want this? Millions of animals are kept in the laboratories for the ‘’benefit’’ of testing, these animals suffer from continuous pain, blindness, fear and even death. We aren’t saying that every one should stop buying perfume or make up, why? Being beautiful is such a nice thing, all we’re saying is that one could save an innocent animals life, just by one simple choice, there are many companies that don’t perform testing on animals, further on, we we’ll give you a list of these companies, and even a list that DOES perform testing on animals. It’s simple, all one has to do is just to choose, while shopping. Everyday people make lot’s of choices, like for example (you decide to start a healthy eating lifestyle, so instead of buying a bar of chocolate you buy a cereal bar), So if we do this for our benefit, why would it be any different when you know that by a simple choice you are saving a life? CHOOSE RIGHT, AND BE PROUD OF IT :) !For some companies that DO perform testing on animals.

The results are in!

Yesterday as we all know was the Maltasong for Europe. First thing we noticed was how beautiful the stage was, and the way it was presented was good. Yesterday Kim believed that Pam's song Whispers would make it, and Glenn believed that Mary Spiteri with her song My Last encore would make it too, but as usual were talking about a show that is full of surprises! For example, the first surprise to us was Klinsmann going trough the final with Go and not with Super Hero. second was Eleanor, she has a beautiful strong voice but she never has a good song, but yet it passed! It never crossed our minds that the song Street Car Of Desire would pass, and a song such as Whispers wouldn't, but that's why it's a show full of surprises! From the 8 songs that passed, Kim believe's that Claudia Faniello has the biggest chance with both of her songs, Caravaggio and Sunrise, and Glenn also agrees. But let's leave yet another surprise to come next Saturday.

What we did for our 'baby'...
One day Glenn was going to work at the St.James Cavallier, Valletta. It was a rainy day, when all of sudden Glenn heard that in the building was an unusual visitor, and in curiosity he went down to see who this visitor was, and in front of the door of the main hall, there she stood, all wet tired and hungry, an unfortunate dog! She was still very young, because there was someone who keeps these kind of dogs and knows more about them than Glenn did, but she was so hungry that she looked really old. The day after, Glenn was working from 5:30pm to 00:00am, and she was still inside, it was still raining, and when Glenn was shutting the doors at 9:00pm, he felt sorried for the dog, so he phoned the manager and told her that he was going to keep her there for the night, and kindly, the manager accepted. That day Glenn gave the dog a bowl of water and even his lunch. When Glenn came back home from work, he told Kim about the Dog and they where both worried about were she would stay, because at St.James was temporarily. Two days later, Glenn after a days work, came home picked Kim up and went straight back to the St.James for the dog whom we called Kylie. But the biggest problem was that his mum knew about Kylie, but his dad didn't! At first she used to sleep in a small room on the roof, but when we used to go up to play with her a bit, and came back down again, she used to start barking and the problem was that we didn't want Glenn's dad to hear her. One day we went up to give her food and play with her, and when we where going back down, she started barking so loud that Glenn's dad strated asking questions, and we didn't want him to kick Kylie out, so in a cold November night, we slept with Kylie on the roof! In a few weeks time, Glenn's dad went up to the roof, and saw Kylie there, and after talking to him, he said 'we could keep her', and we where really happy that she could stay with us. Now she has been with us for the last three months, we love her like she's our own baby, she even sleeps on our bed with us, but the worst part is when she snores :p ! Kylie is a very playfull dog, and we love her very very much!

Looking forward to next Thursday

As everyone knows the Malta song for Europe is back! In Malta this is a very important event, even though we agree that sometimes we (Maltese people) take it too seriously, but let's face reallity, who dosen't like Eurovision :p ? Next Thursday Malta will be watching the first show (the semi-finals), we are 'extremly' looking forward to it. We have already downloaded all seventeen songs from YouTube, and we have even picked our favorites. Glenn's top three are; 3rd. Whispers - Pamela, 2nd. Caravaggio - Claudia Faniello and 1st. My Last Encore - Mary Spiteri. And Kim's top three are; 3rd. Sunrise - Claudia Faniello, 2nd. Cravaggio - Claudia Faniello and 1st. Whispers - Pamela. Before we met each other we used to be great fans of the Eurovision both of us, and this was an advantage to us, because we both understand each other how we feel about Eurovision and we could enjoy the excitment that the show brings with it together. This is the 2nd Malta song for Europe that we are going to enjoy together. We have already prepared everything, all we need now is to get the popcorn :) !!!
